The CEREC® Omnicam makes every aspect of the delivery of care more comfortable, precise, and efficient. It offers a more pleasant and positive patient experience while facilitating more predictable results and reliable treatment outcomes.
With the CEREC Omnicam, messy dental impressions are a thing of the past. This advanced technology allows our dentists to obtain detailed digital images of the teeth, bite, and surrounding tissues by gently moving an ergonomically designed wand around the targeted areas. As our dentist obtains multiple views from different angles, the images are simultaneously integrated into accurate full color representations and impressions for treatment planning, case presentation, and the delivery of care.
From obtaining the most accurate and comfortable digital impressions to the generation of dental models, fabrication of single-visit restorations, and the provision of digital orthodontics and integrated dental implantology, the CEREC Omnicam elevates the level of care. With advanced software seamlessly linked to our CEREC milling unit, patients can enjoy the benefits of same-day crowns and other restorations. The CEREC Omnicam exports the exact specifications required for the in-office fabrication of beautiful same-day ceramic crowns.
Despite increasing awareness of the risk factors, oral cancer remains one of the ten most frequently occurring cancers worldwide. Since many signs and symptoms of oral cancer mimic painless lesions that often go away on their own, it’s not unusual to be unaware of its presence.
OralID® provides our dentists with a useful tool that supports the identification of abnormal tissue changes associated with oral cancer. Since early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of oral cancer significantly improves treatment outcomes, OralID plays a critical and adjunctive role in routine head and neck examinations and screenings for oral cancer.
OralID provides clinicians with a second set of eyes. Resembling a small flashlight, the OralID operates on the principle of optical fluorescence, emitting a visible blue light that’s capable of distinguishing healthy tissue from tissue undergoing abnormal changes. If there are any abnormal changes to the mucous membranes lining the mouth and throat, the area will appear in a different color from the surrounding healthy tissues. If anything is detected, our office will recommend further diagnostic assessments as needed.
The iTero® Intraoral Scanner enables both dentists and orthodontic specialists to obtain detailed 3D digital impressions of a patient’s teeth and occlusion to deliver the most precise, efficient, and comfortable care. The iTero scanner allows us to provide a more pleasant office experience for each patient, compared to the conventional methods of taking dental impressions!
A guided scanning process using an ergonomically designed wand captures and integrates multiple intraoral images from every angle to generate highly accurate 3D impressions.
Compatible with many digital systems, the iTero Intraoral Scanner allows our team to provide seamless, efficient generation of dental models to custom-craft a long list of dental prostheses, including crowns and orthodontic aligners. With the iTero Intraoral Scanner, our team consistently obtains more precise information for more predictable results and better care outcomes.
Cone-beam computed tomography systems are radiographic systems used by dental professionals to analyze and reconstruct 3D images of a patient’s teeth, jaws and surrounding anatomy. The information obtained by means of CBCT imaging is useful in both diagnosis and precise treatment planning when two-dimensional diagnostic films are insufficient. Dental CBCT is useful for multiple types of analyses as well as the assessment of maxillofacial disorders or pathology. It is also most useful in surgical planning, including the accurate placement of dental implants.
Digital radiography utilizes computer technology and digital sensors for the acquisition, viewing, storage, and sharing of radiographic images. It offers several advantages over the older traditional film based methods of taking x-rays. The most significant of these advantages is that digital radiography reduces a patient’s exposure to radiation.
With digital radiography, images can be viewed instantly after being taken, can be seen simultaneously as needed by multiple practitioners, and can be easily shared with other offices. Digital x-rays are also safer for the environment as they do not require any chemicals or paper to develop.
An electronic pad, known as a sensor is used instead of film to acquire a digital image. After the image is taken, it goes directly into the patient’s file on the computer. Once it is stored on the computer, it can be easily viewed on a screen, shared, or printed out, allowing our dentists easy access to the information they need.
One of the most significant advances in modern dentistry has been the development of dental laser technology. Today, dental lasers are being increasingly used to treat tooth decay, periodontal disease, perform biopsies or the removal of oral lesions, to cure restorative (filling) materials, as well as to activate in-office teeth whitening systems.
At Stunning Smiles of Las Vegas, we use laser dentistry to contour the gums and banish "gummy" smiles. Our dentists also use diode lasers to address periodontal disease by vaporizing the the inflamed and diseased tissue inside a periodontal pocket while leaving the healthy tissue intact.
One of the many benefits of performing a procedure using a diode laser is that it significantly reduces the discomfort associated with conventional surgical techniques. In this respect, dental lasers minimize the need for dental anesthesia, allow more comfortable, stress-free care, with faster healing and short recovery time.
Utilizing top dental technologies allows our patients to experience dental care that is more comfortable, convenient, and effective! Call us today to experience state-of-the-art technology at your next dental appointment.
