CEREC Same Day Dentistry
Crowns In An Hour – Traditional crowns require not only two visits – one for preparation, one for placement – they usually require up to four weeks between them. This means wearing a temporary crown for that whole time, risking shifting, sensitivity, or even breaking and loss of the temporary crown. But with CEREC™ CAD/CAM technology to scan your prepared tooth and send the data to an in-office milling machine, which makes your crown in your mouth in about an hour – not weeks! Why mess with long delays and frustrating issues, when you can have your new, beautiful smile almost immediately at Stunning Smiles of Las Vegas!
This hand-held instrument can quickly and comfortable detect small cavities. The advanced laser can detect decay earlier than more conventional methods, such as radiography. In fact, it can find 50 percent of the decay that goes undetected by radiography without exposing you to radiation. This laser is truly invaluable in the prevention of dental problems and the promotion of good oral health.
We use digital imaging software in our practice, which allows us to take a digital picture of you and enhance it to predict how a particular treatment or cosmetic procedure would change the appearance of your teeth. This software is highly beneficial for patients who are considering cosmetic procedures to visualize how dramatic cosmetic dentistry can improve their appearance, before any treatment is completed. Digital imaging also allows Dr. Racanelli to document your dental case and procedures very well. We take digital images of your face, teeth and smile to provide us with a permanent dental record and to provide a visual documentation of treatment.
Digital radiographs benefit both the dentist and the patient. Most importantly, digital imaging significantly decreases your exposure to radiation by approximately 75%, compared to that of standard x-rays used in many offices. With digital radiographs, we take a picture of your teeth, then almost immediately see it on a computer monitor. This large, color-enhanced image lets us get a better picture of your oral health, allowing for earlier treatment. This process is also better for the environment as it doesn’t use photo chemicals and traditional film, thus eliminating environmental waste.
Intra-oral cameras have greatly improved the way we examine our patients’ teeth. Using a pen-sized camera, we take video of your teeth and project the live image onto a television screen in the treatment room. This image is magnified, allowing us to better see and detect any decay, cracked or leaking fillings, or other problems. This technology helps us to diagnose and treat problems earlier than was ever before possible.
Soft Tissue Laser
The most advanced dental lasers are designed to assist Dr. Racanelli in the treatment of soft/gingival tissues (gums). Most procedures can be performed comfortably, without an injection for treatment of the gums, and periodontal disease. Thus, patients young and old alike, have nothing to fear when they visit Dr. Racanelli.
You've always been told - seeing is believing. Dr. Racanelli believes this as well, as he can't treat what he can't see, and exceptional dentistry requires an expert attention to detail. With the use of magnification optics, Dr. Racanelli is able to visualize things not otherwise perceptible to the naked eye. Not only improving the quality of care for his patients, but the use of the magnification optics also allows for an expanded range of treatments offered.
The Benefits of Magnification:
- Magnified Image
- Increasing Precision
- More Accurate Diagnosis
- Improved Dental Care
